Great jerk marinade

Used it a few times now and love the flavor on chicken either as a marinade or straight on before cooking. Wish I had also purchased the hotter one maybe next time! 😉👍

Disappointed

Disappointed with this marinade. Not much heat, fairly mild. I like hot chilli.
I bought 1 jar of each hot and mild, marinated chicken thighs and chicken tenders. I will put the rest in the bin.

Hi Neil - we try to make all our customers happy and so, we are sorry to read your disappointment with our products because of the heat level. Some feedback for you on your reason to be disappointed - not much heat:

Traditionally in Jamaica, Jerk is not served with too much heat. It is about the complexity of the flavours - savoury, aromatic, spicy. However when Jerk is served in Jamaica, the customer is given the option to add accompanying hot sauce to increase the heat. This is why we sell our Jammin hot sauce as that accompaniment... Because 'blow your head off hot' chilli is not for everyone including us Jamaicans. Further a cooking method you could try when cooking with the marinade is to baste your chicken just before removing from the grill or oven and this invariably will increase the heat level. Please reach out for assistance with recipes or cooking methods. Again, sorry you were disappointed. Cheers Brian( Head Jerk)

It is what it is. Straight jerk.

You’ve got to be a proper Jerk to create something so bloody amazing. Took a punt bought it online (mild paste), it arrived , marinated a whole boneless chook overnight! Next day in Oven! Wow , will be ordering again. Gonna add the BBQ sauce with next purchase. cheers 🍻

Not for me unfortunately

I dunno. Maybe I'm dumb but I couldn't figure out have to make this marinade work for me. I tried slow cooking with it, pan frying chicken and even roasting it in the oven. Just couldn't figure out how to work the flavour into the chicken like I thought. I would like to believe this is a good product but maybe I just needed a recipe or tutorial to teach me out to best use it. The instructions on the label were pretty simple "just use it basically" really wish I could sing it's praises but it's a no flex for me
